The Adelaide Guitar Festival Winter School is a week-long guitar course, held from 15 – 19 July, which provides an opportunity to learn from some of Australia’s finest guitarists in a small, immersive, guitar playing and skills development intensive. Adelaide Guitar Festival Winter School is open to all ages and has seen participants as young as 8 and as old as 89 in the same class, sharing the same passion for guitar.

The Adelaide Guitar Festival Winter School will be held in two main streams:

  1. 'Orchestral’ – comprised of three sections the Orchestral stream is based in classical guitar playing and ensemble techniques. 
  2. Blues and Roots’ – incorporating acoustic guitar playing, traversing a range of roots and blues techniques.
